How to make a round tabletop. Stages of making a round table with your own hands, useful life hacks. Instructions for creating a round wooden table

This year I acquired a suburban area, which requires a lot of work, but the moment came when it became necessary to equip it with basic garden furniture. To begin with, I decided to make my own round wooden table on one leg for convenience. And while working, take a photo for step-by-step instructions.

Do-it-yourself stylish round table step by step and with photos

I started making garden furniture from a table. They buy everything for themselves or make them rectangular or square. For myself, I decided to make a round one without corners.

To make a wooden round table you will need the following tools:

  1. Screwdriver.
  2. Jigsaw.
  3. Grinder with grinding attachment.
  4. I used grinding wheels for attaching to the grinder with very coarse grit.
  5. Self-tapping screws for wood, 6 cm and 4 cm long.
  6. The boards are 4 ms thick. and 2 cm. Since I am a fighter for the environment, I used boards from disassembled pallets.
  7. Rope.
  8. Pencil.
  9. One nail.

Making a round base for a garden table leg

I will not give exact sizes, as they can be adjusted to suit your needs. In my case, the base is 52 cm in diameter. We place 4 cm thick boards near us and, using high-precision tools (nail, rope, pencil), like a compass, draw the outline of a circle for the base of a stylish garden table.

Using a jigsaw, we cut out a round base along the round frame.

Let's make a leg for a round table with our own hands

From boards 2 cm thick we make a leg, in my case measuring 14 x 14 cm and 70 cm high. Next, measure the hole on the leg and cut it out:

We screw the two twisted elements of the leg to the two elements of the base:

Then we twist the leg for the round table into one piece:

Now you need to cut wooden boards 2 cm thick to the required size and screw them perpendicular to the boards 4 cm thick. To do this, we will use wood screws 6 cm long. In the future, we will only use screws 4 cm long.

Now we carefully sand the entire surface of the wooden round table for the garden:

We cut out and screw the elements that will give strong stability to the leg based on it:

DIY round wooden tabletop

We cut out and screw two shaped spars, to which we will screw our wooden tabletop:

We screw the boards and, using professional tools (nail, rope and pencil), draw a round outline of the tabletop on the wood like a compass, in my case it is 90 cm.

Then carefully use a jigsaw to cut out a round table top for a garden table:

We cut out and screw boards from the bottom of the tabletop, which will firmly fix it:

Now there is only one thing left to do - sand the countertop. I like the result! The table is quite stable, which is something I was concerned about during the design and execution of the work. The test table passed perfectly! Of course, the results are still not known yet, if someone falls on him - after all, anything can happen;).

The stylish design of the round table fits into any interior, not only into the composition garden furniture, but it also has a place in the kitchen. The presence of only one leg on a round table instead of the traditional four makes it as convenient as possible for practical use.

Circle - perfect figure. It is no coincidence that it has the most analogues in nature: solar circle and moon disk in the sky, round cut vegetables and fruits, annual rings on the cut of a tree...

It is noted that harmonious the shape of a circle also contributes to psychological comfort person. So, to create relaxed, informal atmosphere at a business meeting is used round table.

Round table is great fits in to any interior, be it small kitchen or a spacious living room. The absence of corners makes the table elegant, but more expensive. The budget solution would be manufacture him on his own. Despite all the apparent complexity, cutting and assembling a round table is not a problem for the home masters

It would seem that everything is clear here - round table top on legs. However, manufacturers offer this diversity round tables that make your eyes run wild!

The first thing you pay attention to is the quantity supports Options some:

  • one big one central leg or cabinet;
  • 3 legs;
  • 4 legs;
  • some legs in the middle.

However, the number of legs design differences round tables are not limited. The table can have shelves, a cabinet, pull-out boxes and various add-ons. Like other tables, there are round ones folding and sliding, as well as transformers.

A barbecue table, also known as a barbecue table or a fire table.

Round folding table,

Round (roulette + card table).

Finally, material, from which the round table is made. Classic versionsolid wood. The wooden table looks beautiful and solidly looks great in both classic and modern interior.

Also used for the manufacture of round tables are: materials, How:

  • chipboard, laminated chipboard;
  • MDF;
  • plywood;
  • natural or fake diamond;
  • glass;
  • plastic;
  • metal.

Round wooden table

To begin with, you need to decide dimensions table. It can be small, medium or large, depending on whether it is or, for example,

This also takes into account such an important factor as dimensions the room for which the future table is intended.

We will manufacture small and very simple wood table with three legs.

Materials and tools

In order to do DIY wooden round table, you will need the following materials:

  • beam, boards;
  • carpentry glue for wood;
  • metal corners(3 pieces for each table leg);
  • self-tapping screws;
  • waterproof impregnation for varnish

Required tools:

  • pencil, ruler, meter, roulette;
  • saw, jigsaw;
  • screwdriver or screwdriver;
  • drill and drills;
  • clamps;
  • brushes;
  • Sander and sandpaper;
  • building compass.

Manufacturing stages

Step 1. Coat the sides with wood glue boards and put them next to each other. We fasten the structure clamps. For additional strength of the table, you can fasten the boards together slats from the wrong side.

Step 2. We're drawing circle countertops. For this we use construction compass. If it is not there, just screw two bars with a self-tapping screw at the angle we need. Glue an awl to one block with tape, and to another - pencil. Draw a line. Then measure the resulting result with a ruler or meter. circle. If necessary, repeat the procedure or draw irregularities by hand.

Step 3. Use a jigsaw carefully cut out the resulting circle. If the tabletop is additionally reinforced with slats, then this procedure will require a little more time.

Step 4. We process everything with a grinding machine surfaces countertops. Sanding is done very thoroughly, you can't miss anything. The edges of the table are rubbed using emery medium grain paper. On the tabletop and ends There shouldn't be a single sliver.

Step 5. Tabletop edge edges round off up and down.

Step 6. The legs will be made of timber 40 x 40 mm. Cut to the required length - 70 cm, sand with a machine and sandpaper. Rounding all corners.

Step 7 On three sides we attach to each leg metal corner. It is important to fasten all the corners in the same plane. To do this, place the leg on any flat surface where it is attached to the tabletop. We attach the corners and mark their location with a pencil. Then, in a position convenient for us, fasten corners to the leg with self-tapping screws. This should be done with each leg. This will make the mount more durable, because all the corners will have the same position.

Step 8 We mark the location of everyone legs on the countertop. For full compliance, you can turn the tabletop over and place it on its legs. Using self-tapping screws we fasten the legs to tabletop.

Step 9 From bars of the same or smaller size size, we make the same legs jumpers. We attach them to the legs with self-tapping screws.

Step 10 We process all parts of the table water-repellent impregnation at least 2 times. Each layer of impregnation must dry completely (8–10 hours). After that we cover the table varnish. It is enough to apply two layers of transparent varnish, 3-4 layers of colored varnish to obtain more rich shade.

Note: the surface of the table can be left natural, only emphasizing the natural beauty of wood, or decorated different ways.

Round glass table

An excellent option for manufacturing is hardened shockproof glass with a thickness of at least 5 mm. This glass is used to make many things, including - showers cabins

Such glass will withstand colossal load and will not break. It can only break from spot strong blow in the rib.

However, tempered glass won't fly apart into fragments, but will fall many rectangular pieces that not dangerous for a person.

However, for cutting and processing hardened glass requires special equipment.
Can be used to make a table at home triplex, matte or tinted, as well as regular glass. If cutting glass is not your strong point, it would be better to entrust this work specialist. He's professional will cut tabletop of the required diameter.

Attention: Cutting tempered glass yourself may damage the material.

Manufacturing stages

Step 1. Draw on a sheet of glass circle. This can be done using compass, stuck in the middle suction cup and inserting a needle into its center. Another option could be sample, cut from a sheet of Whatman paper or other material. Place it on the glass and circle marker.

Step 2. Turn the glass over facial side and clean it of dirt. Wipe with a soft cotton or microfiber cloth. The glass surface must be clean and dry.

Step 3. Lay the sheet of glass on a flat hard surface. In this case, we move the edge close to the edge of the surface. Begin cut from the farthest point of the marked circle. Cutting is carried out by one continuous movement. If used roller glass cutter, you first need to dip it in oil(for example, machine). Then we draw along the entire perimeter lines from the edge of the circle to the ends of the sheet. It should work out Sun.

Step 4. Place a soft cloth or towel under the circle and gradually break off all the “rays”.

Step 5. We clean it under running water edge the resulting circle. Water will soften the mechanical processing of glass. Large nicks can be removed using file, the rest is sanded with coarse, medium and fine grit sandpaper. The file can be wetted in kerosene(turpentine).

Step 6. Required for grinding drill or a grinder with a special attachment. First glued to the nozzle sandpaper with coarse grain. Then you need to go around with medium-grit sandpaper and finish sanding with fine-grit sandpaper. Necessarily round off edge edges (top and bottom).

Note: The edge is processed at low speeds to prevent the glass from overheating.

Step 7 Polish the countertop using a circle made of felt and polishing paste. If the glass is matte, then polishing is carried out without paste.

Step 8 As supports for our table we take chrome plated legs with nickels, which are glued to the tabletop with a special glue, cured with a UV lamp. In this way you can secure the legs from any material.

Another way fastening the table top to the legs: drill holes in the countertop for nickels using a special drill bit crowns with abrasive coating (sold at any hardware store). In this case, it is necessary to mark the location of the legs. In order to drill did not move from the intended place, you need to cover the glass with plasticine and pour water into it, or cut a block slightly smaller in size than the crown and put it inside. When drilling constantly add more onto a glass of water or wet the crown.

Another option - make from chipboard circle the same diameter as the table top, and insert screws into it along the entire perimeter with suction cups. This connection holds much better if you don’t glue it simple glue for glass, and glue for a UV lamp.

Attention: Carry out all work on cleaning and processing glass wearing protective gloves or mittens.

Product finishing

Decorate ready product possible in various ways. Each of them will make the most ordinary table unique, an author's item and will emphasize the individuality of its owner.

Decorating the table will help more harmoniously add it to the general interior rooms.

In addition, using Right selected decor can be adjust mistakes in processing a wooden surface, to hide or somehow play up darkening glass table top.

Wood The table can be decorated in the following ways:

  • painting;
  • mosaic;
  • marquetry(veneer inlay, wooden mosaic);

  • craquelure(artificial aging of the surface).

Design techniques glass table:

  • photo printing;
  • stained glass painting;
  • sandblasting treatment;
  • fusing;
  • decorating with various fillers.

How to make a wooden round table with your own hands, see video:

If you dream of having a good time on your personal plot, then you just need a large table that can accommodate a group of your friends and family. Moreover, you can do it with your own hands, spending very little time on it. In some cases you may need a helper, sometimes an extra pair of hands won't hurt.

This article provides detailed step-by-step instructions for making a wooden table for a summer house.

To give you a choice, we offer you four project options at once country table- two ordinary picnic tables, a table with benches, which are a single structural unit, and, finally, a round table. You should think through all the details in advance and choose the type and size of table that would suit your needs and the style of your garden plot.

Folding picnic tables - mobility comes first

Folding tables are very convenient, and most importantly practical and simple. They don't take up much space. At any moment, such a table can be neatly folded into the garage, and, if necessary, again moved outside. The mobility of furniture is especially appreciated in small areas.

How to make a garden wooden table with your own hands

A dacha is the place where a craftsman, a carpenter, a carpenter, a gardener, in general, a master, awakens in a person. Buying furniture for a country plot is a simple matter, but not everyone can make a wooden table for their dacha with their own hands. You must immediately be prepared for what to do garden table you will do it yourself for a few days. But the tips listed below will help you make a good table yourself.

Today we will build a fairly simple country table with our own hands in the Provencal style. Such tables not only look great, but also have quite reliable design. It's worth paying attention to the boards. They must be even, since the appearance of our country table will directly depend on this.

When designing a table for a summer house, it is necessary to prepare lumber in three dimensions:

  • Supporting frame - section 38 x 90 mm.
  • Tabletop - section 38 X 140 mm.
  • Supporting strips - section 19 X 64 mm.
  1. Drawing

Before starting work, the most important thing is to find it on the Internet, or make your own drawings of a table for a summer house with your own hands. An accurate schematic designation will allow you to select lumber that will be most suitable in cross-section to the dimensions indicated on the diagram. It doesn’t matter if the dimensions don’t exactly match each other, because you can always make an adjustment using an electric planer.

  1. Preparation of material

When deciding how to make a garden wooden table, approach the issue responsibly, since the life of the furniture will depend on this:

  • purchase of blanks. Professionals advise purchasing lumber from coniferous trees, which was previously well dried. Its main advantages are:
    • price;
    • simplicity and ease of manual processing;
    • beautiful structure;
  • furniture glue;
  • 4 X 65 mm screws;
  • 3 mm drill;
  • drill;
  • tape measure, pencil, sandpaper.
  1. Further actions

We will need:

  • two upper transverse beams, dimensions 38 X 90 X 978 mm;
  • four legs for a country table with your own hands, size 38 X 90 X 695 mm;
  • two bowstrings - 38 X 90 X 921 mm;
  • one longitudinal lower and one upper beam - 38 X 90 X 1575 mm and 38 X 90 X 1473 mm, respectively;
  • two pieces of braces 38 X 90 X 772 mm;
  • blanks for the tabletop - seven pieces, measuring 38 x 90 x 2337 mm;
  • six support strips - 19 X 64 X 432 mm.

Advice: start work on a flat surface. It is extremely necessary to observe the joining angles of the parts. The blanks, which will later become the legs of our country table, should be cut on both sides at an angle of 10°. The cuts must be parallel. But the bowstring blanks, which are similarly cut at the same angle, should be cut one towards the other.

Stage 2. The legs of our country table should be attached to the cross beams and this entire structure should be fastened with screws. There are two screws for each connection.

We screw the string diagonally to the leg from the inside, in the same way fastening the structure with two screws.

The lower beam must be used to connect both strings to each other. As mentioned above, using screws.

Next, holes are first made in the upper longitudinal and transverse beams for a fastener called a dowel, after which we again diagonally connect the blanks of our country wooden table with existing screws.

Tip: when connecting all the elements, use glue for additional strength. Remove excess immediately.

We place the braces on the screws.

Tip: blanks intended for bracing should first be cut at an angle of 45 degrees

We fasten the blanks for the table top with screws to the cross beams with our own hands.

How to make a rectangular table for a garden

After developing a work plan and approving the drawings of the garden table, purchase all the materials needed for this project. Choose wood designed for outdoor use - pine, cedar, redwood or pressure-treated wood. When purchasing, check each board: they must be completely smooth and without any visible defects. Do not skimp on the quality of lumber, because your structure will have to withstand all weather adversity.

There are several important points that you must take into account if you want the results to be of a high professional standard. We must not forget about the accuracy of measurement and the use of professional tools when cutting boards and bars and drilling holes. To increase the reliability of the structure, you can additionally use waterproof glue to fasten the parts. Round open edges using a router or sandpaper.

Attention! Dimensions are based on the inch system and may not correspond to metric system measurements. Choose lumber that is as close in size as possible. Or just customize it yourself.

Tools required to implement the project:

  • hacksaw, jigsaw;
  • milling cutter;
  • drill and drill bits;
  • chalk cord, tape measure, spirit level, pencil;
  • safety glasses and gloves.

Time:

  • From one day to a week depending on the chosen project. If you have power tools at your disposal, you can finish the job even faster - in just a few hours.

Adviсe:

  • A router will help smooth the edges of wooden blocks and boards.
  • Before screwing in screws and self-tapping screws, drill into wooden elements design guide holes.
  • The heads of the screws that are screwed in should not protrude above the wooden surface, and for this, the entrance parts of the holes must be countersunk.
  • Do not use cracked or warped lumber.
  • Do not use excessive force when tightening the screws, otherwise the wood may crack.

DIY picnic table. Step-by-step instruction

Materials:

  • A - Legs: 5x10 cm bars, 106 cm long (2 pcs.), 43 cm long (2 pcs.) and 56 cm long (2 pcs.);
  • B - Frame: bars 5x10 cm, length 87 cm (2 pcs.);
  • C - Tabletop: boards 5×15 cm, length 180 cm (6 pcs.);
  • D - Tabletop base: boards 5x15 cm, length 87 cm (2 pcs.), bars 5x10 cm, length 62 cm (2 pcs.).

The first stage of the project is making the table legs. Saw off the bars of the required size. To speed up the process, you can use a circular saw. Smooth the edges of the bars and cut lines with sandpaper.

Connect the bars to form an X-shaped structure and fasten them with 60 mm self-tapping screws, not forgetting to pre-drill the guide holes. Lubricate the joints with glue. Make sure there are no cracks or gaps.

Fasten each pair of legs with a horizontal block, using 60 mm self-tapping screws for this purpose. Cut off the ends of the bars as shown in the figure.

Place the boards intended for making the tabletop on a flat surface. We advise you to place pieces of 6 mm plywood between them, this will create uniform gaps. Place the assembled table sides on the tabletop and secure them by screwing in the self-tapping screws at an angle of 90 mm. Before fixing, make sure the legs and tabletop are perpendicular using a spirit level.

Place sawn pieces of 5x15 cm boards on the underside of the tabletop and secure them with 60 mm self-tapping screws.

Saw off the ends of the bars, which will serve as supports reinforcing the structure, at an angle of 45º. Place the supports in their place and secure with 90 mm self-tapping screws screwed in at an angle.

And finally, last but not least: check that the heads of the screws do not protrude above the wooden surface, and fill all cracks and holes with wood putty.

Tip: To protect wood surfaces from the damaging effects of atmospheric moisture, cover them with several layers of exterior paint or stain.

Table with benches. Instructions with drawings

Materials:

  • A - Legs: bars 5x10 cm, length 95 cm (4 pcs.);
  • B - Crossbars: bars 5×10 cm, length 160 cm (2 pcs.);
  • C - Fastening the tabletop: 5×10 cm bars, 75 cm long (5 pcs.);
  • D - Inclined supports: bars 5×10 cm, length 84 cm (2 pcs.);
  • E - Tabletop: boards 5x10 cm, length 180 cm (14 pcs.).

You should start by making the legs. Since the legs of this table will be inclined, the ends of the 100 cm long bars should be cut at an angle of 30º. Connect the elements with 90 mm bolts.

Make sure the surface you are working on is fairly level. The mounted sides of the table must be identical, only in this case can you hope for an excellent final result.

When the sides of the table are ready, you can begin making the wooden tabletop. We recommend that you knock it together on the ground (floor), and then attach it to the legs using self-tapping screws.

Tip: Don't forget to make sure the side walls of the table are vertical using a spirit level, otherwise the end result of your work is unlikely to satisfy you.

Rigidly fix the entire structure using inclined supports. Their ends should first be cut at an angle of 26º.

Now all that remains is to build the benches. Saw off the boards of the required size, place them on both sides of the table and, having previously drilled several guide holes at a distance of at least 1 cm from the edges, secure them with self-tapping screws.

Tip: To ensure that the seat boards are evenly distributed, place nails or pieces of plywood between them before attaching them. Thanks to this little trick, all the gaps will be the same.

At the end of the work, pay attention to small but very important touches. Fill all cracks and holes with wood putty. After the putty has dried, sand the wood surfaces with medium-grit sandpaper.

Tip: Be sure to apply several coats of paint or stain to protect wood surfaces from exposure to water and sunlight.

Round table. We do it at the dacha on our own

Materials:

  • A - Base: 5×10 cm block 102.5 cm long (1 piece) and 47 cm long (2 pieces), 2.5×10 cm block 9 cm long (4 pieces);
  • B - Stands: bars 10×10 cm, length 60 cm (4 pcs.);
  • C - Tabletop base: 5x10 cm bars 82.5 cm long (1 pc.) and 52.5 cm long (2 pcs.), 2.5x10 cm bars 47.5 cm long (4 pcs.) and 60 cm long (2 pcs.) ;
  • D - Tabletop: boards 2.5×15 cm, length 195 cm (9 pcs.).

The first stage of the project is to create the table base. To connect its constituent elements, use waterproof glue and self-tapping screws. Make sure that the corners formed by the bars being connected are straight. To protect the assembled table base from rotting under the influence of rainwater, place it on small stands made from scrap 2.5 x 10 cm boards.

Now you need to attach four posts made from square bars to the base. Before fixing, make sure they are vertical using a spirit level. The height of the legs may differ from what we propose; in this case, you should, first of all, be guided by your own needs.

The most difficult stage of the project is making the countertop. Place the boards on a flat surface and mark the center of the square. Secure one end of a 60 cm strip at this point. Rotate the other end of the staff to mark the outline of the circle. A jigsaw with a sharp blade will allow you to make circular cuts at a high professional level.

After cutting the boards of the future tabletop, we recommend that you fasten them together with waterproof glue and additionally secure them with several clamps. Attach the bars that serve as the base of the tabletop, as shown in the picture (yellow elements should be made from 5x10 cm bars, green ones from 2.5x10 cm bars).

Tip: To attach the bars to the tabletop, use waterproof glue and galvanized screws (30 mm self-tapping screws for fastening 2.5x10 cm bars and 50 mm for fastening 5x10 cm bars).

After the glue has dried, you should attach the legs to the base of the tabletop using 90 mm self-tapping screws, having previously drilled pilot holes. Use a spirit level to check the perpendicularity of the legs and tabletop.

To ensure that the result of your work corresponds to a high professional level, make sure that the heads of the screws are recessed deep enough. Cover all cracks and holes with wood putty, and after it dries, sand the surface with sandpaper.

Tip: Apply several coats of exterior paint or stain to protect the table from moisture damage. To ensure that the base stands are also untouched by water, place the table on a concrete surface and seal them tightly.

Now you know how to make a picnic table yourself. You just have to put in a little effort, which will subsequently be rewarded with enthusiastic exclamations from friends and pleasant summer evenings spent with your family at a large table.

Since ancient times, round tables have been considered a symbol of equality and unification of all those present. The round table is easy to use and practical - there are no problems or questions about who will sit on the corner. Solid oak tables are luxurious pieces of furniture, but they are not always convenient for daily use.

A round table is usually made of oak or pine.

A great option is to make a folding round table with your own hands, which can be adjusted in size and folded from time to time so that it does not take up space in a small room.

How to make a round table for your home?

To prepare the table shape, you need the following materials and tools:

  • ruler;
  • pencil;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • large compass;
  • whatman.

The material from which the table will be made can be absolutely any. If you are new to this business, you can use coniferous wood, and if you have already dealt with wood and know how to work with extreme care and quality, use oak or mahogany.

Let's connect several large sheets (whatman paper) using PVA glue. Now when using a compass Draw a circle of the required size.

If you do not have a suitable compass, you can use any round element or make a compass from 2 bars or sticks, attaching a pencil to one of them and an awl (or any sharp object) to the other.

When you have an even drawing, trim off all the excess paper (don't throw it away, you'll need it later!). Fold the resulting circle in half 4 times so that the circle is divided into 8 small triangles. Now we retreat 5-6 cm from the bases of the triangles and connect the points with straight lines along the entire circumference.

A cozy home is a place where it feels good not only for you, but also for the people closest to you. It’s great if the whole environment is arranged harmoniously and tastefully, but household items always give special pleasure to home furnishings made by the owner himself.

For example, the center of the room can be a table own production. There’s no need to rack your brains and figure out how to make a round table with your own hands, just take it and do it! Cover it with a lace tablecloth or napkin for a romantic look.

Leave the laconic wooden tabletop open, and it will fit perfectly into minimalism and classics.

So, to make a round table, prepare:

  • screwdriver with a chuck of at least 10 mm;
  • electric jigsaw with a set of wood files;
  • screwdriver bits;
  • extended confirmations (5x80 mm);
  • set of wood drills;
  • disc sander. A disc for an angle grinder or simply an appropriate attachment installed in a drill will also work;
  • timber 3050x120x50 mm;
  • birch plywood disk with a diameter of 1500 and a thickness of 35 mm;
  • plywood ring with an outer diameter of 1280, an inner diameter of 1040 mm and a thickness of 20 mm;
  • plywood 1060x120x20 mm – 2 pcs.

Preparation and processing of parts

To make a round table, you need to carefully prepare its parts for assembly. It’s easy to make a wooden round table; it’s even easier to assemble it from birch plywood, especially since it will be very durable. The disk will be the tabletop, and the circle will be the connecting part between the tabletop and the legs, into which the wooden blocks will turn.

First, the plywood needs to be sanded and then carefully coated with varnish, preferably in 3 layers. Sanding does not provide absolute smoothness, and a loose varnish coating leaves the possibility of splinters appearing on the table. The same should be done with future legs. If you want to tint table parts, you need to do this before the final varnishing.

The plywood binding ring will allow you to attach the legs to the tabletop without damaging its integrity and coating. From the same plywood 20 mm thick, you can cut slats, which will further provide the table with strength and stability.

Plywood for the countertop can be thicker than 35 mm. But remember: the thicker the sheet, the more expensive it is. Although at the same time it is stronger and more durable. Modern thick plywood is of much higher quality than many solid woods and can serve not only you, but also your grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Assembling a round table

Take a plywood ring and mark holes for attaching 4 legs at equal distances from each other. It is better to attach each leg to 4 attachment points. Then drill holes with a diameter of 8 mm in the disk at the marked places.

Now prepare the legs. This will be a timber sawn into 4 parts with a section of 120x50 mm. Each should be 760 mm long. Don't forget to treat them before assembly. In the middle of the end section, mark and drill 4 holes with a diameter of 5 mm. They must correspond to those in the connecting ring. Attach the legs to the ring using a screwdriver and confirmations. Do not complete confirmations.

Don't worry about how to make the round cnjk not only beautiful, but also comfortable and stable. It's very simple. 2 plywood strips measuring 1060x120x20 mm need to be installed crosswise under the tabletop between the table legs. To make the task even easier, you can put them at different levels.

In this case, one plank will stand at a distance of 510 mm from the floor, the other – 640 mm. To securely attach them to the legs, 2 points are enough. Drill holes in the end of the planks and in the corresponding places of the legs and use a screwdriver and confirmats.

The entire support structure now needs to be attached to the tabletop. Connect the plywood binding ring to the table top and screw the confirmats to the end. To do this smoothly and neatly, have someone help you and support the table top and legs. This way they won’t move during work, and your table will turn out better than you could buy in a furniture store.

All that remains is to choose a place for the table, where more than one generation of your family will dine, drink tea and share the happy moments of their day.
